PRESS RELEASE: Carbon Removal Canada calls for participation in building an interactive carbon removal industry dashboard

TORONTO, ON, March 14, 2025 – At Policy to Progress: Carbon Removal Day, Carbon Removal Canada announced an upcoming, interactive industry dashboard to 200+ leaders across the sector. Although similar tools exist for other jurisdictions, this will be the first of its kind to map out a detailed landscape of Canada’s growing carbon removal industry.

To ensure broad representation, Carbon Removal Canada is asking industry suppliers (carbon removal companies and project developers), buyers (of carbon removal credits), and supply chain partners (vendors of equipment, component parts, feedstocks, etc.) to submit data they are willing to share publicly.

Funded by RBC Tech for Nature, the dashboard will act as a centralized knowledge hub for carbon removal stakeholders and public engagement once it is complete. It aims to offer a transparent view of project development activities, supply chain developments, and market trends in Canada.

The more companies that participate in the dashboard, the better it will serve as a critical resource for policymakers, communities, buyers, suppliers, and investors, providing a more accurate visualization of market insights and project-level data.

Canadian companies and foreign companies that have active or planned projects in Canada are welcome to submit information. The first iteration of data collection closes on March 31.

“The carbon removal industry has come a long way over the past few years, with exciting companies and projects taking shape around the world. Canada is no different. There is a burgeoning ecosystem of innovators that recognize the unique opportunities that Canada presents to pursue carbon removal project development. As the industry continues to grow, we need a tool that can help centralize and showcase all the great progress that is being made.”
